Little Red Riding Hood and Cunning Wolf kids bedtime story

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Little Red Riding Hood ,who lived in a small village with her family. One fine day, her mother asked her to take some goodies to her granny's house, which was deep inside the forest. Little Red Riding Hood put on her red cape and set off on her journey through the forest.

As she walked along the path through the woods, she met a wolf. "Hello little girl," the wolf said in a friendly voice. "Where are you going?"

"I am on my way to my granny's house," replied Little Red Riding Hood sweetly.

"Ah, your granny's house!" exclaimed the wolf with hunger in his eyes. "Do you know the way?"

"Yes," said Little Red Riding Hood confidently and continued down the path without giving it any more thought.

The sly wolf watched as she walked off into the distance, then he took another path that led straight to Granny's cottage. He knocked on Granny's door and pretended to be Little Red Riding Hood who had come to visit.

"Who is it?" asked Granny from inside the cottage.

"It’s me! your sweet granddaughter," replied the cunning wolf mimicking Red Riding Hood's voice.

Without realizing anything fishy going around, Granny opened up and saw there was someone else instead of her granddaughter standing outside her door. Before she could even react, he gobbled up Granny and wore her clothing disguising himself as grandma waiting for Little Red Riding Hood’s arrival.

Little Red Riding Hood arrived soon at Grandmother’s cottage knocking on its door but found it surprisingly unlocked which was not usually the case. She entered calling out Granny’s name but got greeted by an unusual dining room setup that wasn't hers but still kept walking towards it.

"Hello dearie," said the wolf disguised as Grandma lying in bed with a scarf around its head covering its ears and chin. "What brings you here?"

"I have brought some goodies for you granny," said Red Riding Hood and placed the basket she was carrying on the bedside table.

"How thoughtful of you," replied the wolf with false sweetness. "Come closer, my child!".

Little Red Riding hood smelled something fishy now and took a step back realizing it wasn’t her grandmother lying in the bed. She turned around to flee from the cottage when suddenly, the wolf sprang towards her with an open mouth ready to swallow her too!

But she was quick on her feet and ran as fast as she could, screaming at the top of her voice. Just then, a woodcutter who was out for logging, heard Red Riding Hood's cries for help and rushed towards her. He saw what had happened and acted quickly to save Little Red Riding Hood's life by chopping off the wolf’s head using his axe.

Little Red Riding Hood learned a valuable lesson that day about talking to strangers and made sure she never wandered off into woods alone ever again. And that’s how she lived happily ever after with her family, sharing this story with children in their village for years to come.
